Search & Inquiry Outcome Review
Use evidence from Search Console and your mailbox. Keep search visibility, website actions and received procurement inquiries separate.
Four different signals
- Search visibility
- Use an owned Search Console property for indexed URLs, queries, impressions and clicks. A sitemap entry or index, follow tag is not evidence of Google indexing.
- Website actions
- The optional procurement counter records consented actions by application label. They are counts of actions, not people, and can include repeats or automated traffic. Use them as directional evidence, not conversion totals.
- Actual inquiries
- Count received messages after mailbox review. Deduplicate follow-ups and identify relevant procurement needs. Exclude tests, spam, job requests and company submissions from buyer inquiries.
- Commercial progress
- Track acknowledgement, qualified requirement, comparable quotation and further review separately. Do not equate a directory visit with a qualified sales opportunity.
Record a review period
This local worksheet does not fetch analytics or read mailboxes. Blank values are exported as Not verified, never zero. Download it before leaving; records are not saved or sent by the website.
How to collect the baseline
- Verify ownership of the correct Search Console property. Export performance by page and query for a consistent period. Check important URLs with URL Inspection; record any noindex or crawl issue separately.
- For the optional first-party counter, the site operator can read daily count files through the existing authorized hosting connection. These files are blocked from public HTTP access. Report consent coverage as unknown; there is no unique-visitor denominator.
- Review Tony’s mailbox manually for messages carrying an AlumHome inquiry reference. Record the source label from the brief, receipt date and whether specifications are sufficient to request a comparable offer.
- Use the same start/end dates and filters when comparing periods. Short or sparse periods may not support a content decision. Avoid calculating email-click-to-receipt conversion when the two sets cannot be matched.
- Expand application guides where relevant search queries or received requests recur. Improve brief prompts where drawings, scope or acceptance evidence are repeatedly missing. Supplier fees and ad rates need demonstrable audience and lead value.
