How to produce a profile

The core steps can be summarized as four major processes: 1. smelting and billet casting → 2. extrusion forming → 3. surface treatment → 4. subsequent processing.

1. Smelting and Billet Casting

Qualified aluminum ingots are mixed with alloying elements such as magnesium and silicon in proportion, then fed into a melting furnace and heated to approximately 700°C for melting. The molten aluminum is refined to remove impurities, and then formed into round aluminum billets through casting processes, preparing for subsequent extrusion.

2.Extrusion Forming

The aluminum billets are heated and then fed into the extrusion cylinder of an extruder. Under high pressure from the extrusion stem, the aluminum is forced through a die with a preset cross-section for furniture profiles, forming long strip-shaped profile blanks.

3.Surface Treatment

This is a key step to enhance the performance and aesthetics of profiles, with three common methods:

Anodizing: Forms a hard, wear-resistant oxide film that can be dyed to achieve different colors.

Electrophoretic coating: Produces a uniform and fine coating with better corrosion resistance and decorative effects.

Powder coating: Offers strong adhesion, rich color options, and excellent weather resistance.

4.Subsequent Processing

Profiles after surface treatment undergo processes such as fixed-length cutting, drilling, tapping, and end milling. Finally, after quality inspection, qualified products are packaged and shipped for furniture assembly.
