Define the deliverable first

A window or curtain wall requirement is more specific than an aluminum cross-section. Start with the approved project documents and identify whether the supplier provides profiles, fabricated members or an assembled system. Keep the design owner, fabricator and installation responsibilities visible. A similar section outline does not establish interchangeability, project approval or permission to use another company’s system drawings.

Choose the quotation boundary

  • Profiles for a controlled system

Identify the system owner’s section reference, revision and permission to manufacture. State full lengths or cut lengths, material condition, finish, protection and order quantities.

  • Fabricated members or frames

Provide the fabrication schedule, machining details and assembly scope. Identify which seals, thermal-break components, hardware and glazing interfaces are supplied, fitted or excluded.

  • Complete project system

Request a defined package covering design coordination, components, assembly evidence and delivery. Installation and project acceptance remain separate unless explicitly included in the contract.

Prepare order-specific requirements

Opening and assembly schedule
Record opening identifiers, drawing revision, member locations, quantities and handedness where relevant. Keep a section list distinct from a complete fabrication schedule.
Interface control
Identify glazing, gasket, hardware, corner, mullion and transom interfaces. Ask the responsible system team to review proposed substitutions; matching a few dimensions alone is insufficient.
Thermal-break scope
Where specified, document the controlled composite section, insulating components, assembly responsibility and required evidence. Do not infer whole-window thermal performance from a raw profile or material label.
Fabrication operations
List cutting, milling, drilling, drainage features, deburring and assembly operations against approved drawings. The design owner determines the required features; this guide does not prescribe site modifications.
Visible finish and samples
Specify visible faces, color reference, treatment, approved appearance sample and protection. Agree how finish changes and replacement batches are reviewed before production.
Performance and acceptance evidence
Record the project’s required evidence, applicable assembly configuration and approval owner. Material certificates, dimensional reports and system test evidence answer different questions.
Packing and delivery sequence
Define opening or assembly identification, package contents, surface protection and delivery sequence. State whether glazing, hardware, installation or unloading is included.

Avoid these comparison gaps

  • System evidence reused for another configuration

Ask which tested or assessed configuration the evidence covers. Record any change in section, glazing, seal, hardware or fabrication that requires review.

  • Frame quotation compared with extrusion price

Normalize the delivered stage and quantity basis. Identify assembly labor, accessories, finishing, transport and exclusions separately.

  • Uncontrolled drawings in the order

Use one approved revision register. Resolve discrepancies between section, fabrication and assembly documents before release.

Build your application checklist

Record the known requirements and unresolved questions. Download your working checklist or carry it into the procurement center in this browser tab. No engineering selection or supplier approval is inferred.

Research the relevant supplier scope

Xingfa, JMA and Fenglu company-source records describe architectural extrusion scope. These are research leads, not verified project-system qualifications. Confirm the proposed section, factory responsibility, fabricator interfaces and order-specific evidence.

Buyer questions

Can a matching cross-section replace an existing system member?

Have the responsible system and project team review the complete interfaces, materials and evidence. A similar outline is not an interchangeability approval.

Does a material certificate prove window performance?

It describes the stated material evidence. Ask separately for the required complete-assembly evidence and confirm the configuration and scope it covers.

Should drainage details be invented by the extrusion supplier?

Use the controlled system and fabrication documents. Resolve missing details with the responsible design team before production.

Who approves a finish sample?

Identify the project’s approval owner and the visible-surface criteria. Keep the approved sample reference and change procedure in the purchase documents.
