Aluminum Forging Supplier Research

Define the blank or finished part, proposed forming route and supplied condition before comparing named company sources.

Two entity-specific forging research records

OTTO FUCHS publishes aluminum die-forging and open-die forging topics. Hirschvogel Aluminium GmbH is separately identified as an aluminum-component company on the group website. These are two new records in a directory of 26 companies. Source ranges support research; they do not establish approved suppliers, available stock or complete market coverage.

  • OTTO FUCHS KG

Company-published aluminum die-forging and open-die forging range; extrusion and ring rolling remain separate process topics.

  • Hirschvogel Aluminium GmbH

Company-published hot-formed aluminum component research for the specifically named Hirschvogel Aluminium GmbH entity.

Separate the forging blank and finished part

Provide the controlled drawing, revision, dimensions, units and required supplied state. Identify the features that belong to the forging and those created by subsequent machining or finishing. Record the relationship between the blank drawing and finished-part drawing, critical interfaces and the responsible approval owner. A finished-part image cannot establish the agreed blank condition.

Name the proposed forging route

Ask the supplier to identify the actual route and any proposed alternative against the controlled requirement. Keep die forging, open-die forging and other forming processes distinct. OTTO FUCHS also discusses extrusion and ring rolling on its material page; those separate topics are not automatic forging substitutions. This guide does not select a process for every alloy or geometry.

Review material state and subsequent work

State the required alloy and supplied condition, and identify heat treatment and subsequent processing where applicable. List machining, threads, joining, surface treatment, marking and packing as separate deliverables. Record included work, exclusions and the responsible companies and sites. A general forming or machining claim does not establish acceptance of every operation on your part.

Control tooling and trial supply

Separate die or development work where relevant from repeat-component supply. Ask what the tooling charge includes, who owns and maintains the tooling, how trial parts are identified and what must be approved before repetition. Record changes of drawing, material condition or forming route as open questions until the release owner accepts them.

Agree component-specific acceptance evidence

Have the responsible project reviewer define dimensional, material, internal-soundness and functional evidence for the actual component where applicable. Request traceable samples and inspection records with drawing revision and supplied state. This category sets no universal machining allowance, strength value, fatigue performance or automotive or aerospace approval. Published application topics cannot release the order.

Keep entity and group evidence separate

Hirschvogel's company page names the aluminum entity separately from other manufacturing and finishing businesses. Its newsletter of 18 October 2024 provides historical group context, not a current offer from every entity. Confirm which company performs forging and which performs machining or dispatch. Apply the same order-route questions to OTTO FUCHS's published contact address.

Compare complete offers

Align quantity basis, supplied condition, tooling, trial parts, included operations, inspection, packaging and destination. Keep proposed substitutes and missing evidence visible. Confirm the contracting and invoicing company, current commercial terms, stock where relevant and timing in writing. A research record does not establish minimum order, delivery commitments or readiness for a particular project.

Carry the requirement through the workflow

Blank or finished component
State the controlled drawing, revision, units and supplied state. Separate the forging drawing from the finished-part drawing, with machining allowances and critical interfaces reviewed by the responsible owner.
Route, tooling and material state
Ask for the proposed forging route, alloy and supplied condition. Record included die work, trial parts, heat treatment and subsequent operations where relevant. A generic alloy or process label is not a substitution approval.
Sample and inspection evidence
Agree sample identifiers, drawing revision, critical features, material and inspection records, and the person responsible for release. The project reviewer should define any internal-soundness, functional or application-specific acceptance requirements.
Comparable offer and responsible entities
Align quantities, included operations, tooling ownership, samples, inspection, packing and destination. Confirm which named company contracts, forges, finishes and dispatches the component. Obtain current commercial terms in the written response.
